SCFD3 part-paid shift members from outside Fire District #3 boundaries, along with our in-district volunteers, play a crucial role in ensuring our operational mission is accomplished alongside our 17 career firefighters. Together, they help keep our two 24-hour staffed stations fully operational. Part-paid members can work flexible 12-hour shifts, scheduling themselves based on their personal availability to support their families and employers. Our volunteer members who reside within district may also sign up for shifts, or respond to calls from their homes.
